Jaden Smith was accompanied by parents, Will Smith and Jada Pinkett-Smith, and sister, Willow, for the premiere of The Karate Kid in Spain. Here they are playing it up for the crowd and having a great time.

Will Smith, Jada Pinkett Smith, Jaden Smith and Willow Smith hit Germany this week for the premiere there of The Karate Kid. The premiere was in Berlin, Germany on Monday, July 19th.

Jaden posed for pictures and signed autographs in the German capital.

The Karate Kid finally hit London, as the premiere took place on July 16th, 2010. Producers Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith were there to support Jaden, their 12 year old son and the star of the remake.

When asked about her son, Jada Pinkett Smith said, “You know, it’s Will and I… I just felt like two artists would create a little artist. When he was born he used to love dancing to Michael Jackson…. And then as he got older, he had some real skills.”

Will Smith explained that Jaden “didn’t have the shock and the radical life change that child actors usually have coming into the business.’

Crowds in India are, apparently, going wild over the new Karate Kid movie, starring Jaden Smith and Jackie Chan and produced by Will Smith.

As Kercy Daruwala, managing director at Sony Pictures, said, “We are expecting the numbers to go up in the coming week following positive word-of- mouth publicity. Many shows drew full houses during the weekend.”

Bollywood loves Jackie Chan, and, according to the article, this is the highest grossing Jackie Chan movie in India to date.

Not only is young Jaden Smith, son to Will Smith, an acting sensation in the remake of The Karate Kid, but he’s got his father’s rapping talent as well.  He can be heard singing on one of the songs from the soundtrack to the new film by Columbia Pictures.

He is a guest artist on the single “Never Say Never” which is sung by teen sensation Justin Bieber.  Watch the video here and enjoy seeing how the apple certainly doesn’t fall far from the tree.

Over 800 Dallas school kids enjoyed a fantastic day on May 27^th at Cinemark 17 Theater.  They participated in a street festival and private screening of the Columbia Pictures soon-to-be-released The Karate Kid.

Organized by the DALLAS Film Society, the event included exciting appearances of Jackie Chan, Jaden Smith and Will Smith.

As Tanya Foster, the president and CEO of the DALLAS Film Society said, “This has to be the very best After School All-Stars program we have ever dreamed of.  To be able to create a cultural event like this and to bus in more than 800 kids to see Jaden Smith, Jackie Chan and Will Smith ‘gettin’ jiggy with it’ at today’s celebration and screening was priceless.”

Will Smith signed autographs for kids in the audience and then took the stage to add his support to the new film.

ShoWest, the trade show of the National Association of Theatre Owners is going on in Las Vegas right now. Participants in Las Vegas have been enjoying advanced peeks at new theater seat designs, Dolby 3D examples, a touch-screen dispenser that can dispense 17 flavors of Coca-Cola, and other interesting items.

The big news yesterday was the screening of Columbia’s Big summer picture, The Karate Kid, starring Jaden Smith, Will Smith’s son, and Jackie Chan.

Jaden was named as the recipient of the ShoWest Star of Tomorrow Award. Before the film screened, Will Smith, Jaden Pinkett Smith and Jaden Smith came on stage. Jaden was given the award and he took the microphone to say a few words. He said, “My dad wrote me a speech with a whole lot of funny things in it, but I’m 11 and I’m nervous, so thank you!”
