We hear rumors that Will Smith is getting back to his roots and stepping back into the recording studio. His career started out as a young rapper, who then topped charts with numerous hits like “Getting’ Jiggy Wit It”, “Just the Two of Us” and “Miami”. His latest album was released in 2005 but did not gain a following, which then ushered Will into producing and a focus on raising his family with Jada Pinkett Smith. Since then, both of his children Willow and Jaden have both made big names for themselves; Jaden pursuing his acting career and Willow following directly in her father’s footsteps topping charts with her music. The rumor stems from producer La Mar Edwards, who said during an interview “We’re working on Will Smith, bringing him back.” We can only hope this is true!

Welcome to the teenage years Jaden!  On July 8th, he turned 13 years old.  It is astounding to think how extensive his career has been even before reaching this significant youth milestone.  Congratulations, can’t wait to see what your teen years bring to your career and how you change!

Willow Smith will perform at the White House Annual Easter Egg Roll

Exciting news for the young Willow Smith, she will get the rare opportunity to perform at the White House for the first family!  She will be performing at the annual Easter Egg Roll with other celebrities and artists like, Greyson Chance, John Lithgow, Colbie Caillat, Kelly Ripa, Kristi Yamaguchi and Mark Consuelos.  The Roll will occur on Monday (25th April 2011).

In up-to-the-minute news, Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith were spotted on Saturday, April 17th at the American Red Cross Charity fundraiser in Santa Monica, California. The Red Tie Affair Fundraiser Gala was held at the Fairmont Miramar Hotel.

Word has it that a sequel to “Hancock” is in the making.  Peter Berg is set to return as director, with two new writers getting ready to pen the script.  While no confirmation has been made yet that mega-stars Charlize Theron and Will Smith will be returning to reprise their roles, Berg recently said that “Everybody’s going to come back for a sequel.”

Berg confirmed that, for the sequel, we can certainly expect to have at least one more all-powerful god added to the mix.  And, he has his eye set on a specific, unnamed actor to play the third superhero.

The original film, “Hancock” earned $628 million in worldwide box office sales and starred Will Smith and Charlize Theron.
