Willow Smith will perform at the White House Annual Easter Egg Roll
Exciting news for the young Willow Smith, she will get the rare opportunity to perform at the White House for the first family! She will be performing at the annual Easter Egg Roll with other celebrities and artists like, Greyson Chance, John Lithgow, Colbie Caillat, Kelly Ripa, Kristi Yamaguchi and Mark Consuelos. The Roll will occur on Monday (25th April 2011).
The waiting is over, Men in Black 3 will start shooting soon! Will Smith was seen in NYC on the 20th entering the Trump hotel and we are all excited to follow the shooting schedule and see what other actors will be involved in the film! On his way to NYC, Smith donated 30 computers to a school in Philadelphia that had 60 of thier stolen. So far 30 had been returned to the school, and so Smith decided to donate the rest. Smith grew up in Philadelphia and attended Overbook High School, which is now the name of his entertainment and artist management company.
On February 16th, the Madame Tussauds Wax Museum in Las Vegas unveiled their newest statue- Will Smith. Successful in the realms of both music and acting, Will Smith is the father of the young actor Jaden Smith and the rising pop singer Willow Smith. The museum’s debut of the new figure was part of its Black History Tour, which includes other impressive figures such as President Obama, Martin Luther King Jr., Jamie Foxx, Whoopi Goldberg and many others.

In a recent interview with Teen Vogue, Willow Smith explained that her parents, Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith, maintain a normal household despite their fame.
“It’s pretty much a regular family,” she said. “At dinner we talk about ‘what did you do today?’ and ‘what did you wear today?’ Not anything about work.”
She also explained that her parents are relaxed about chores, although they expect her to be mature. “They aren’t strict,” she explained. “They won’t be like ‘Willow, clean up your room!,’ they’ll be like ‘Willow will you please clean up your room?’ and I’ll be like ‘OK’ and do it.”
Overbrook Entertainment, Will Smith’s company, announced that their opening project will be a “re-imagination of the classic Broadway musical Annie, as a vehicle for Willow Smith.” The successful young star Willow, who released the hit single Whip My Hair not too long ago, will be join her parents and Jay-Z in the making of the film as Annie herself. Her brother Jaden Smith also recently starred in the new version of The Karate Kid.
Jaden Smith, the Karate Kid-starring son of Will Smith, teamed up with teenage heartthrob Justin Bieber in the music video for the Biebs’ song Never Say Never. The two have been friends for quite a while now, and Bieber has referred to the young Smith as his “lil’ bro”. Will Smith’s daughter Willow is also tight with Bieber, and was invited to join him on tour in Europe.

Earlier this week, the 42nd NAACP Image Awards nominations were announced at a press conference in Beverly Hills, at the Paley Center.
It is certainly not surprising that Will Smith’s kids were both nominated. Jaden, who is twelve, will compete for outstanding actor for his role in The Karate Kid, and Willow, 10, is up for new artist as well as outstanding music video, for the famous Whip My Hair.

Willow Smith, the ten year old daughter of Will Smith and Jada Pinkett-Smith, and younger sister of Karate Kid’s Jaden Smith, has made quite a name for herself with her hit single Whip My Hair.
She recently shared her performance dream; “I want the stage to just open and have fire coming out,” she said. “And I’m floating on a cloud and lights coming down.” Willow added that she was greatly inspired by a live Taylor Swift performance. “She was doing her concert and there was water with words in it,” she described. “That was so awesome. It was like ‘Be Mine’.”
Will Smith’s daughter Willow has admitted that she may rework one of her dad’s hits “Parents Just Don’t Understand.” She said “there’s a possibility that I will…. It’s a really great song.” She added that her motto is “Whatever you see in your closet that you like… pick it and wear it.” She explained that “It’s not just your closet, but it’s your life. Whatever catches your eye- check it out! If you want to jump over a log, jump over a log.”
When asked about her father’s character in the Fresh Prince of Bel Air she said “it was very funny. I was laughing a lot. I found the words that he said and the clothes that he wore really funny. And the jokes that he told, too.”
