This week on the Thursday night X Factor elimination show, there will be some big acts to watch! Willow Smith is set to perform her latest single, “Fireball” featuring Nikki Minaj. the single was released only about a week and half ago, and fans are eager to get a first look at the performance.
Exciting news from Sony Studios! In 2013 it looks like Queen Latifah will be launching a talk show produced by Will and Jada Pinkett Smith!
Everyone is searching for the next Oprah and the Smith team of producers believes that Latifah is it. The new syndicated daytime talk show would not launch until the fall of 2013. In the past, Sony has worked on Jada’s show HawthoRNe and also produced the remake of the “Karate Kid” starring Jaden Smith, enjoying an ongoing positive relationship. Exciting to see what evolves!
We hear rumors that Will Smith is getting back to his roots and stepping back into the recording studio. His career started out as a young rapper, who then topped charts with numerous hits like “Getting’ Jiggy Wit It”, “Just the Two of Us” and “Miami”. His latest album was released in 2005 but did not gain a following, which then ushered Will into producing and a focus on raising his family with Jada Pinkett Smith. Since then, both of his children Willow and Jaden have both made big names for themselves; Jaden pursuing his acting career and Willow following directly in her father’s footsteps topping charts with her music. The rumor stems from producer La Mar Edwards, who said during an interview “We’re working on Will Smith, bringing him back.” We can only hope this is true!

The BET Awards were riddled with stars, but no one stole the show like the Smith family, arguably the first family of Hollywood. Siblings Willow and Jaden were competing against eachother, being nominated for the same category and were jointly given the YoungStars Award!
Who needs a stuntman? Not Will Smith. He was photographed jumping out of a 3rd story building for his upcoming movie “Menn In Black 3″! The filming, which took place on June 6th is the third installment of the beloved Sci-Fi flick starring Agent J and Agent K, who live in a world where Aliens exist, protecting humankind from this knowledge. This time around, the two agents are traveling back in time to young Agent K to save the world. Tommy Lee Jones will be back playing the elder Agent K, while, Josh Brolin will play the young Agent K. The movie is set to hit theatres on May 25, 2012. Can you wait that long? We can’t!
Will Smith and his wife Jada Pinkett Smith were surprise guests on the last episode of Oprah’s final show. The show turned into a tribute including other A-list stars like Tom Hanks, Tom Cruise, Madonna, Jerry Seinfeld, Michael Jordan, Simon Cowell and others. Each gave thier a happy farwell, and some entertained, including Aretha Franklin who sang Amazing Grace. Now that the show has closed its final chapter, some are wondering – what will bring the stars to Chicago? The Oprah Winfrey show was an exception to the rule, bringing the stars through Chicago for the media round up, when most shows broadcast out of NY and LA. What will happen to Chicago?
Exciting news for the young Willow Smith, she will get the rare opportunity to perform at the White House for the first family! She will be performing at the annual Easter Egg Roll with other celebrities and artists like, Greyson Chance, John Lithgow, Colbie Caillat, Kelly Ripa, Kristi Yamaguchi and Mark Consuelos. The Roll will occur on Monday (25th April 2011).
The waiting is over, Men in Black 3 will start shooting soon! Will Smith was seen in NYC on the 20th entering the Trump hotel and we are all excited to follow the shooting schedule and see what other actors will be involved in the film! On his way to NYC, Smith donated 30 computers to a school in Philadelphia that had 60 of thier stolen. So far 30 had been returned to the school, and so Smith decided to donate the rest. Smith grew up in Philadelphia and attended Overbook High School, which is now the name of his entertainment and artist management company.
