Will Smith and his wife Jada Pinkett Smith were surprise guests on the last episode of Oprah’s final show.  The show turned into a tribute including other A-list stars like Tom Hanks, Tom Cruise, Madonna, Jerry Seinfeld, Michael Jordan, Simon Cowell and others.  Each gave thier a happy farwell, and some entertained, including Aretha Franklin who sang Amazing Grace.  Now that the show has closed its final chapter, some are wondering – what will bring the stars to Chicago?  The Oprah Winfrey show was an exception to the rule, bringing the stars through Chicago for the media round up, when most shows broadcast out of NY and LA.  What will happen to Chicago?

In a recent interview with Teen Vogue, Willow Smith explained that her parents, Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith, maintain a normal household despite their fame.

“It’s pretty much a regular family,” she said. “At dinner we talk about ‘what did you do today?’ and ‘what did you wear today?’ Not anything about work.”

She also explained that her parents are relaxed about chores, although they expect her to be mature. “They aren’t strict,” she explained. “They won’t be like ‘Willow, clean up your room!,’ they’ll be like ‘Willow will you please clean up your room?’ and I’ll be like ‘OK’ and do it.”

Earlier this week, the 42^nd NAACP Image Awards nominations were announced at a press conference in Beverly Hills, at the Paley Center.

It is certainly not surprising that Will Smith’s kids were both nominated. Jaden, who is twelve, will compete for outstanding actor for his role in The Karate Kid, and Willow, 10, is up for new artist as well as outstanding music video, for the famous Whip My Hair.

Willow Smith, the ten year old daughter of Will Smith, has recently announced on Twitter that she will be joining Justin Bieber on his European tour of ‘My World.’

Her exact tweet was: “Got news that my big bro @justinbieber invited me to his European Tour in March. So exciting! Maybe I’ll let Jadn come…LOL #NEVERSAYNEVER (sic).” Later, Bieber confirmed Willow’s tweet with one of his own, and added that there are “more surprises coming.”

Jaden Smith, the twelve year old son of Will Smith and his wife Jada Pinkett-Smith, recently attended the 16th birthday party of Disney star Jake T. Austin. The party was held at soon-to-open adult playhouse Beacher’s Madhouse at Roosevelt Hotel in Hollywood.

The event was sponsored by Onitsuka Tiger, and hosted many young stars including Selena Gomez, David Henrie, Chelsea Staub, Jennifer Stone, Kyle Massey, Chris Massey and Boo Boo Stewart. A source shared that “Jaden won a dance-off with another kid.” When Jaden was asked by the girls to go out after the party he said “I’m only twelve, I’ve got to go home to my parents.”

Will Smith’s daughter Willow Smith, the rising ten year old star, is one of the newcomers nominated for the MTV Brand New 2011 award. Justin Bieber’s win last year foreshadowed his major success during 2010, and the battle for a similar fate for Willow will be tough. Among the other nominees are Far East Movement, The Vaccines, Jessie J, Ruff Diamondz and Clare Maguire among others.

Willow is famous for her acting skills in movies like I am Legend, and Kit Kittredge: An American Girl, as well as for her hit single “Whip My Hair,” which made it to the top twenty on the billboard chart this year. She is also a young ambassador for ‘Project Zambi’, which supports AIDS orphans in Africa.

Simon Cowell, the British music executive, television producer and entrepreneur, known for his role as an extremely critical judge in talent shows such as American Idol, Britain’s Got Talent and Pop Idol, has recently announced that he has hired a very unusual guest judge for next year’s season of X Factor; Willow Smith.

She will be working alongside Simon and other unconfirmed judges such as Nicole Scherzinger of the Pussycat Dolls and the much-loved Mariah Carey. The ten year old daughter of Will Smith and his wife Jada Pinkett will be the youngest judge ever to evaluate contestants on the show. She has already starred in various films and released a hit single titled “Whip My Hair.”

A source has stated that “Simon is determined to make US X Factor a complete triumph and he’s going to pull out all the stops to make sure that happens. Willow is big in the States at the moment, and Simon knows people will be fascinated to see her take on the competition. Simon’s been really impressed whenever he’s seen Willow interviewed and thinks she’s amazingly mature for her age.” Cowell has also told friends that he is greatly impressed by the girl’s “star quality.”

The new X Factor season will begin in September.

Will Smith is certainly always helping out with charitable causes.  Now, he can be proud that his children are following in his footsteps in this way.  Will Smith’s children, Jayden and Willow, recently took part in a new charity campaign, Buy Life.  They had their picture taken, along with a large number of other celebrities, for the Keep a Child Alive charity co-founded by Alicia Keys and her husband, music producer Swizz Beatz.

Keep a Child Alive provides care and support for families affected by HIV and AIDS in African and India.  The star-studded campaign for Buy Life involved Katie Holmes, Serena Williams, Ryan Seacrest, Will Smith’s kids and others sporting grey t-shirts with the campaign slogan Buy Life on the front.  Each t-shirt actually includes a unique barcode which can be scanned using several smart-phone applications.  The user can then make donations to the charity right from the barcode on the t-shirt.

Jada Pinkett Smith exudes enthusiasm, charm and beauty. Measuring in at only 5 feet tall Jada proves that wonderful things can come in small packages. Ms. Pinkett Smith was born in Baltimore, MD in September 1971, where she studied dance at the Baltimore School for the Arts. She continued her education at North Carolina School of Arts, but did not finish so that she could pursue her career as an actress. In 1991 she was first noticed when she worked with Bill Cosby on his series “A Different World.” After that she had roles in several movies, both serious and comedic. Jada married Will Smith in 1997, and since that time Jada and Will have had two children together, Jayden and Willow.
