On February 16^th, the Madame Tussauds Wax Museum in Las Vegas unveiled their newest statue- Will Smith. Successful in the realms of both music and acting, Will Smith is the father of the young actor Jaden Smith and the rising pop singer Willow Smith. The museum’s debut of the new figure was part of its Black History Tour, which includes other impressive figures such as President Obama, Martin Luther King Jr., Jamie Foxx, Whoopi Goldberg and many others.

Overbrook Entertainment, Will Smith’s company, announced that their opening project will be a “re-imagination of the classic Broadway musical Annie, as a vehicle for Willow Smith.” The successful young star Willow, who released the hit single Whip My Hair not too long ago, will be join her parents and Jay-Z in the making of the film as Annie herself. Her brother Jaden Smith also recently starred in the new version of The Karate Kid.

Jaden Smith, the Karate Kid-starring son of Will Smith, teamed up with teenage heartthrob Justin Bieber in the music video for the Biebs’ song Never Say Never. The two have been friends for quite a while now, and Bieber has referred to the young Smith as his “lil’ bro”. Will Smith’s daughter Willow is also tight with Bieber, and was invited to join him on tour in Europe.

Jaden and Willow Smith Nominated for NAACP Image Awards

Earlier this week, the 42^nd NAACP Image Awards nominations were announced at a press conference in Beverly Hills, at the Paley Center.

It is certainly not surprising that Will Smith’s kids were both nominated. Jaden, who is twelve, will compete for outstanding actor for his role in The Karate Kid, and Willow, 10, is up for new artist as well as outstanding music video, for the famous Whip My Hair.

Willow Smith, the ten year old daughter of Will Smith and Jada Pinkett-Smith, and younger sister of Karate Kid’s Jaden Smith, has made quite a name for herself with her hit single Whip My Hair.

She recently shared her performance dream; “I want the stage to just open and have fire coming out,” she said. “And I’m floating on a cloud and lights coming down.” Willow added that she was greatly inspired by a live Taylor Swift performance. “She was doing her concert and there was water with words in it,” she described. “That was so awesome. It was like ‘Be Mine’.”

Jaden Smith, son of Will Smith and Jada Pinkett-Smith, joined Justin Bieber onstage during his performance at the annual Z100 Jingle Ball on Friday night. The event was held at Madison Square Garden in New York City. Jaden danced and sang enthusiastically alongside his famous friend, while his sister Willow cheered for both of them.

The evening also featured performances by Katy Perry, B.o.B., Selena Gomez, Bruno Mars and Sean Kingston.

Willow Smith, the ten year old daughter of Will Smith, has recently announced on Twitter that she will be joining Justin Bieber on his European tour of ‘My World.’

Her exact tweet was: “Got news that my big bro @justinbieber invited me to his European Tour in March. So exciting! Maybe I’ll let Jadn come…LOL #NEVERSAYNEVER (sic).” Later, Bieber confirmed Willow’s tweet with one of his own, and added that there are “more surprises coming.”

Jaden Smith, the twelve year old son of Will Smith and his wife Jada Pinkett-Smith, recently attended the 16th birthday party of Disney star Jake T. Austin. The party was held at soon-to-open adult playhouse Beacher’s Madhouse at Roosevelt Hotel in Hollywood.

The event was sponsored by Onitsuka Tiger, and hosted many young stars including Selena Gomez, David Henrie, Chelsea Staub, Jennifer Stone, Kyle Massey, Chris Massey and Boo Boo Stewart. A source shared that “Jaden won a dance-off with another kid.” When Jaden was asked by the girls to go out after the party he said “I’m only twelve, I’ve got to go home to my parents.”

Justin Bieber’s win last year foreshadowed his major success during 2010, and the battle for a similar fate for Willow will be tough. Simon Cowell, the British music executive, television producer and entrepreneur, known for his role as an extremely critical judge in talent shows such as American Idol, Britain’s Got Talent and Pop Idol, has recently announced that he has hired a very unusual guest judge for next year’s season of X Factor; Willow Smith.

She will be working alongside Simon and other unconfirmed judges such as Nicole Scherzinger of the Pussycat Dolls and the much-loved Mariah Carey. The ten year old daughter of Will Smith and his wife Jada Pinkett will be the youngest judge ever to evaluate contestants on the show. She has already starred in various films and released a hit single titled “Whip My Hair.”

A source has stated that “Simon is determined to make US X Factor a complete triumph and he’s going to pull out all the stops to make sure that happens. Willow is big in the States at the moment, and Simon knows people will be fascinated to see her take on the competition.
